Conway Lake Description

Conway Lake has good Smallmouth Bass fishing. A pretty body of water with a moderately developed, heavily wooded shoreline, it is within the White Mountain National Forest resort region of NH.

A moderately sized body of water, Conway Lake is managed for Landlocked Salmon and Rainbow Trout, plus a good smelt population allows the lake to produce some quality catches of these species. Best fishing is in May and June when the water warms and Smallmouth Bass begin to spawn and come into their own as the fighting game fish for which they are known. There is a boat ramp at the northern end of the lake. Car-top boats and canoes can also be launched off the road near the southern end of the lake. Average ice-out date is May 1st.

Conway Lake is a 1,299-acre (5 km2) water body located in Carroll County in eastern New Hampshire, in the towns of Conway and Eaton. It is located just to the east of the White Mountains and is part of the Saco River watershed.
